Interview Ben Smith

Ben Smith is a super friendly and positive guy, fantastic drummer who’s played for LZ7, Matt Redman, New Wine Worship, Shackleton and other bands & artists. Ben and I met at OneRock Festival in Germany in 2013, where Ben was playing with LZ7. We connected afterwards and we’ve been staying in touch ever since. As we haven’t seen each other in real-life, we thought it would be a great idea to do an interview via e-mail. Have fun and learn from Ben, as he’s got a lot of great stuff to share!

During his California road trip in 2015, Ruud connected with John-Paul right outside of the Bethel Campus for a great conversation about worship, the ‘Bethel Sound’, playing multiple instruments, spontaneous worship, Jesus the Son of Man and the lifestyle of giving. ‘Hang out with the people you play with and be vulnerable with them, get to know the people behind the cameras, move with your worship leader and give everything away!’

Interview Brian Frasier Moore

It was an honor to interview Brian Frasier Moore. He has toured with so many different artists (Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Christina Aguilera), he really knows what he’s talking about! Carl’s best advice: ‘Love God, love people!’

Interview Mark Rogers

Mark is a great guy and an example of a successful self-thought drummer with a big heart. We had an open conversation about faith, mentoring, keeping it simple, supporting the song and growing over the years. ‘Don’t focus on the gear, the jobs, the material but invest in other people’s lives.’

Interviews

Interview Scott Davis

‘There’s something that impacted me deeply about being at Bethel and traveling with Derek Johnson, playing drums for worship and getting to see people’s lives impacted, seeing people being healed physically and emotionally and people getting saved in the Presence of God. It was doing something that was marking somebody’s life.’
